The village of Brassmoor is located in the County of Elvormine, two day's journey (40 miles) from Blackstone. The county is part of the Duchy of Urdang.
The town's last official counting placed the population at 314 people, all but a few of human descent.
Since its founding in 903, following the last great orcish invasion, Brassmoor has been ruled by a succession of barons. These barons have all been of the family of v'Rald. In 1121, the seeress Kormana - reknowned for the accuracy of her visions - predicted that Brassmoor would perish when no v'Rald remained to take the title, Baron.
