Mailing List
To facilitate communication among the various members of the gaming community
within the area of Charlotte, N.C., the Charlotte Gaming Society is pleased
to host a mailing list that any gamer may make use of to communicate with
others gamers in the area. Membership in the list is open to all
interested in gaming of any sort, and the list is generally unmoderated.
The list's sponsors (Harry Culpan
and Paul Wiegand) do reserve
the right, however, to deny participation in the list to any person abusing
the list or sending inappropriate messages. People wishing to join
the list should keep in mind that the list of subscribers is available
to anyone. While this list is not sold or given to any other organization,
it is possible for anyone to get the list of subscribers. If this
is a problem for anyone, please email me at owner-cgslist@tesseract.org.
Joining the list
To join the list, please send a message to Majordomo@Tesseract.Org
with a blank subject. The body of the message should be "subscribe
cgslist" (without the quotes, of course). After a few seconds, you
should receive two email messages, one confirming that you were successfully
added to the list, the second welcoming you to the list. If you do
not get these messages within a reasonable period of time, please send
email to owner-cgslist@tesseract.org.
Someone will get back to you as soon as they can.
Leaving the list
To leave the list, please send a message to Majordomo@Tesseract.Org.
The subject line should be blank, and the body should contain the text,
"unsubscribe cgslist your-email-address@your-domain". Obviously,
there should be no quotes in the actual message, and you should replace
the "your-email-address@your-domain" with your email address. After
a few moments, you should receive a message confirming your unsubscribing
from the mail list. If you have any problems, please send email to
owner-cgslist@tesseract.org.
Sending email to the list
To send a message to all subscribers of the list, simply send an email
to CGSList@Tesseract.Org.
The email will go out to all subscribed members of the list, exactly as
you send it to this address. Once the message is sent, there is no
way to block its being sent to all members of the list, so be sure that
you want to send it, before you send it. Typically, the message should
go out within a few seconds, although delays of several hours are not unknown.
To send a message to the list, you must first be a member of it, with the
address from which you are sending the email. (For example, I have
two addresses, one for home and another for work. I am registered
with the list using my home address; therefore, I cannot send email through
the CGSList using my work email account.)
Getting of list of suscribers
The list of subscribers to the CGSList is available to anyone. To
get this list, send email to Majordomo@Tesseract.Org.
The subject line should be blank and the body should contain the text,
"who cgslist". After a few moments, you should receive a complete
list of suscribers.
