This started out as a general mailer for Diplomacy, War, & Board game mailings, but grew. Now it is a full fledged mailling list, and covers a wider range of gaming related topics. For information, see the CGS Information page.
Skip to the bottom of this page, which is arranged chronologically.
Recently a small group of us has made a point of "collecting"
local
people to play the game Diplomacy. Several of us
have played in the
past, but never with a full 7 people. Finding enough
players to play a
face to face game has proven tedious. What we've
felt we've needed was an
informal group which was large enough to give us flexibility
in
finding enough players.
In an effort to create a more open environment for such
a group, I
thought it might be nice to start e-mailing a group of
us on a fairly
regular basis. This is not a an automated mailing,
or an obnoxious
advertisement, just a casual correspondence with those
who've expressed an
interest in the game.
LETTER MECHANICS:
I will start by saying that anyone who wishes not to
get this "casual"
letter in the future, please e-mail me at work or at
home and you will
not get it again. Anyone who knows anyone who would
like to be on the
list, tell me so and that will also be remedied.
If you would like to
be mailed, but would prefer that it be at a different
address than the
one I've chosen, again that can be solved with just a
simple
notification. I would really like to see our list
of players grow some. I
know some of you have mentioned people you know who also
play and live near
by, if they wish to be included in the list and have
e-mail addresses--by
all means mail them to me (their address, not them--though
I can receive
binary attachments, if need be).
Also, I will put game related announcements (reasonable
ones) in my
mailings if you'd like. We can all use this
as a forum to start games and
gather players, as well. If someone wants to start
a local FTF game of
something in the genre of Diplomacy, etc., I will place
it in here with the
rest of the games I have mentioned. I will do this
as long as it is
practical for me to do so.
THE COMING GAME:
It should be pointed out that we DO have a game in formation
currently. We
have 7 players (most of which will receive this letter)
and a date. The
players are:
Paul Wiegand
Harry Culpan
Jennifer Romanski
David Romanski
Steve Koehler
Justin Anderson
Tim Cox
(If your name is not on the list, but you are interested
in possibly
being an alternate in case of cancellation, please e-mail
me and I will
notate that.)
The date is the 27th of July, which is a Sunday.
The starting time for the
game has not yet been established, but we are looking
at a time close to,
but after noon. The game will last most of the
day, possibly into the
evening. Last time we did not impose Diplomacy
round time-limits and the
time got out of hand, so this time we intend to do so,
though we will
discuss the limits (ie: they may not necessarily
be the suggested limits
in the rules). The game will be in Rock Hill, SC.
Directions will be
provided in a later mailing. We all sort of bring
some snacks and pop,
etc. and share (but there is no obligation to do so),
but we prefer not to
include alcohol out of consideration for those in the
group who do not
drink.
ANOTHER GAME:
We are looking to play a face-to-face game of Nomic.
This is an
interesting game which involves proposing amendments,
additions, and
changes to set of rules which govern the game itself.
More information can
be provided, but can also be found on the net at:
http://www.cs.rmit.edu.au/~geoff/nomic.html
or at:
http://www.earlham.edu/suber/writing/nomic.htm .
Thus far we have two
interested players (Harry and myself) and no established
location or
date (though before the end of August). E-mail
me if you are
interested, and include good days for you (in general)
if you can.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Steve Koehler has informed me that there are some tournaments
this
month, if anyone is interested in going:
Origins Columbus, OH
July 18 (Diplomacy)
AvalonCon Baltimore,
MD July 30 (Steve is running a
Machiavelli tournament there)
If you would like more information, let me know and I will ask Steve.
NOTE:
Anyone who would put together this mailing list and do
this in the name of
the others must be an honorable and trustworthy opponent,
and
therefore deserves the benefit of the doubt in any future
games of
Diplomacy. I would never stab anyone...gentle as
a lamb...couldn't hurt a
fly...I come in peace.
FINAL COMMENTS:
My home phone number is: XXXXXXXX. Call me
if you'd like, but
e-mail is easier for me if you want to tell me anything
I should
remember. I prefer to be e-mailed at home (paul@tesseract.org)
and
not work, but if you wish to reach me during the day,
e-mailing me at
work is fine. If you do e-mail me at work, you
should note that all
e-mail sent to me there is archived and subject to being
read by others,
blah blah etc. etc.
Hello gamers,
Last summer, Paul Wiegand tried vailiantly to start
up a group of
people to play strategy games, especially Diplomacy.
I wanted to
revisit that idea to see if there is interest out
their for forming a
Charlotte Gaming Society.
My thought is to have an informal group that would
meet every month or
so for an evening of gaming. Nothing more
than that.
What are your thoughts?
-- Stephen Koehler
I am pleased with all the affirmative responses.
It was suggested
that we meet on Saturdays, so the tentative first
meeting is scheduled for
Sat., Feb, 7, 1998. An evening>
Steve
This is fine for me. I will plan to be there around
6p. Several
questions, though. First, should we bring anything?
Munchies, drinks, etc.?
Second, what will we be doing? Is this some sort
of "organizational" meeting,
or will we actually be playing something?
I have several games I could bring
along.
On another topic for your consideration, Paul Wiegand
and I have been
tossing around this idea of a gaming group for some time.
I am glad you got
things rolling. What Paul and I talked about was
setting up a web site
where people could announce games, set up get-togethers,
find other gamers, etc.
What is your thinking along these lines?
Just a thought to consider.
Harry,
I definately want to play something. I've got Dip,
Machiavelli, and
others. Bring all games.
As for munchies, it would be good if people could bring
one 2-liter of
soda, or one munchie. We can order pizza for dinner.
So far, I think the following plan to attend: Me, You(Harry),
Steve
Chilcotte, Mike Lowrey, Jennie Romanski, and David Romanski.
That's 6.
No's from Dave Hood, Troy Peters, Edwin Turnage, and Paul Wiegand.
Maybe: Tom Kobrin and Robert Koehler.
No response from Paul Watkins, John Lombardi, and Erik Dutton.
I put the CGS on the Diplomacy Pouch's Club list.
Maybe we will get
some response that way. A web site of our own would
be nice too. You
know about http://pages.prodigy.com/koehler/diplod.htm
?
Talk to you later!
Steve
Looks like at least seven for Saturday the 7th of February.
I am going
to invite everyone to arrive as early as 4 pm but I know
that some of
you might not arrive til 6. We will order pizza
and get to gaming asap.
I live in south Charlotte. Let me know where you
are coming from and I
can give you directions. Please also send your
phone >
Thanks!

See you on the 7th!
Steve
Of course, that's supposed to be 8, not 6.
Ooops.
We had a good game of Colonial Dip last night at the first
meeting of
the Charlotte Gaming Society. Harry, Steve C.,
Tom, Dave, Paul,
Jennifer, and I had a good time. Tom, Harry, Steve
C. and Jenn were in
the lead when we decided to call the game for darkness.
Thanks to everyone for coming. There was some discussion
about our next
meeting. A tentative date for the next meeting
is MARCH 7, 1998.
Harry will be following up with notices about that.
Steve
It turns out I have to fly out to NY on March 7.
Any chance we can meet
some other night? What about the 6th? Feb
28th? March 21?
March 6th sounds good - Friday's are a better night
for me anyway.
Steve.
Where are we supposed to meet this weekend? I was
hoping we could
change to Friday just this once as I am going out of
town on business on
Sat. Let me know.
Steve
Hi,
This is Steve Koehler at my other address. Do you
know WHERE we are
meeting on Friday?
Steve
>It turns out I have to fly out to NY on March 7.
Any chance we can meet
>some other night? What about the 6th? Feb
28th? March 21?
So, did we ever make a decision? I need to know
soon whether we're
playing this weekend or not.
Jenn
I apologize for this late notice. I have been without
a computer for
quite some time now, and thus have been unable to send
email.
It had been my intention to host the next CGS event at
my apartment, and
I am still willing to do so. This Friday (March
6th) is all right with
me, although in general I would prefer Saturdays.
If this Friday is too
short notice for anyone, or if anyone would prefer Saturday,
March 21,
please let the group know. Unless I hear otherwise,
I will assume
Friday is okay with everyone.
As to time, I will plan on being home by 6p, so people
can arrive at any
point around that time. I realize that for some,
6p will be early, so
arrive whenever you can, but try to be there by 7p.
Please let me know
if you will be attending, and what time you think you
will be arriving.
As to the issue of games, I have several, including Diplomacy
and
Machiavelli. I have a few wargames, but they are
for a smaller number
of people (2 to 3 players, although one I have will go
up to 5 or 6, I
believe). Of course, bring any games you have with
you, if you wish to
play them. We will decide at the meeting.
On the issue of snacks and drinks, I will have some drinks
there. I
will endeavor to have cans of Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite
(or equivalent
beverages) available. If you have other drinking
preferences, please
bring them. As to snacks, I will have pretzels
and potato chips. If
you desire anything else, again, bring it. Dinner
will be arranged by
the group, presumably ordering out for pizza or something
similar.
My apartment is not very difficult to find. My address
is 8030
Woodscape Drive, Apt K. It is off Village Lake
Road, which runs between
Independence and Monroe. If you are coming from
downtown Charlotte,
head down Independence toward Hwy. 51 and I-485.
Village Lake Road is
the second light after the Harris Blvd light. Turn
right (which is the
only direction you can turn, in any case, unless you
want to go into a
shopping center). If you are coming from the direction
of I-485,
Village Lake Road is the light right after you pass Best
Buy. Once you
see Best Buy on your right, take the left at the light
immediately in
front of you.
Once you are on Village Lake Road, continue until you
see a lake on your
right. Woodscape Drive will be the road on the
right just before the
lake, going into an apartment complex. Follow this
road, until you come
to the third apartment building on your left. The
side of this building
will actually be facing the road you are on. If
you continued along,
you would approach the "front" of my building, but my
apartment is
actually around the other side. The best idea is
to park in the parking
lot in front of the first two buildings you passed.
As you approach the
backside of my apartment building, my apartment will
be located in the
first entrance. Mine is the left, downstairs apartment.
I realize the above may be somewhat difficult to follow.
I assure you,
it is not very difficult to find. I own a red Geo
Metro, which will be
parked in the parking lot, and there will also be garbage
dumpsters in
front of the parking lot in which you should park.
Also, if you need
further assistance, you can email me, call me (704-531-4405),
or check
the web page, ../cgs/nextmeet.htm,
where a "crude"
map may be found.
Thank you.
Harry W. Culpan
Harry@Tesseract.Org
p.s. Because my home computer is down, I am using my email
account at
work. If you reply to this email, please do so
to my normal personal
account, Harry@Tesseract.Org. Thank you.
Harry,
I would prefer if you could move the next CGS meeting to March 21. I think I could make it that date.
Steve
I am writing this on behalf of Harry, whose computer problems are currently overwhelming him. He is not at work today to send this himself.
We can move the official meeting date to the 21st if that
is okay.
If anybody wants to get together and play a war game
on Friday (independently of meeting on the 21st), Harry is available...Contact
Harry (send email to harry@tesseract.org AND paul@tesseract.org for the
time being).
Again, directions are posted on the cgs page:
../cgs/nextmeet.htm
-- [ From: Koehler, Stephen * EMC.Ver #2.5.3 ] --
Dear CGS Member;
As I understand it, the next meeting of the Charlotte
Gaming Society is
scheduled for March 21, 1998. Location may
be Harry Culpan's place,
unless there was a game there on the 6th, in which case
he might prefer
a different location.
Can someone please advise me if there was a get-to-gether
at Harry's on
the 6th?
Please let me know if you are planning on attending the
next gaming
session/meeting. If you are, please let me know
when you can make it.
It would be helpful if everyone could create a mailing
list so that your
responses and comments can be broadcast to all the members,
rather than
having me relay it.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you guys next week.
Steve
We did not have a meeting on the 6th. As to the
21st, this is fine with
me, and I am still willing to host it. Of course,
I would like to get a
"head count", so I would appreciate it if all those who
will be attending
notify me. I will endeavor to update the above
meeting webpage to indicate
the number of confirmed attendees as the week progresses.
The specifics of the meeting (including directions to
my house) may be
found at ../cgs/nextmeet.htm.
If anyone cannot get
access to this page, and needs directions, please email
me and I will
forward them to you.
The only other issue is that of food. I will have
some drinks available
(Coke, Diet Coke, 7Up, hot tea) and some munchies (pretzels,
potato chips).
If you want anything more than this, please bring
it.
Hope to see everyone on the 21st!
To facilitate communication among the members of CGS,
I have setup a
maillist. At present, no one is signed up for the
group. To signup,
please send email to CGSWelcome@Tesseract.Org.
No subject or body is
required for the email. In a few moments, you should
get a message back
welcoming you to the list.
To send email to the group, send your message to CGSList@Tesseract.Org
and
it will be sent to the entire group.
Thank you.

Dear CGS Members and other interested parties:
We had an enjoyable game of Britannia at the last meeting
of the
Charlotte Gaming Society. I squeaked out a one-point
victory over
Jennifer!
We tentatively discussed having our next get-to-gether
on April 25.
Steve Chilcotte suggested that he might host.
Please let me know if you would like to attend.
Steve, would you send
out directions to your place? There are a couple
of new names in my
mailing list (Mike Justice and Heath Gardner) who contacted
my about
gaming.
I hope to hear from you guys soon!
Just so that everyone knows, David Romanski is unable
to check his mail
on Juno regularly. If you could update his address
to
XXXXXXXXXXX it would be much appreciated. I forwarded
the
last message on to him.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Someone suggested May 2nd might be a better date for the
next get-
together. Please let me know which one you prefer.
Steve
>Someone suggested May 2nd might be a better date for
the next get-
>together. Please let me know which one you prefer.
May 2nd would be better for me.
Jennifer
I just wanted to remind everyone (and inform those who
did not get the
prior email) that we now have a CGS maillist setup.
Everyone who was
included in Steve Koehler's email a few days ago has
been included. New
people wanting to sign on can do so by sending email
to
CGSWelcome@Tesseract.Org.
To send email to the group, you can send mail to CGSList@Tesseract.Org.
It
will automatically be forwarded to everyone in the group.
To be removed from the list, send email to myself (Harry@Tesseract.Org)
or
Paul Wiegand (Paul@Tesseract.Org) and we will remove
you. (Unfortunately,
while signing up is automated, removing oneself from
the list is not.)
By using the maillist, of course, we do not all have to
keep a list of all
the email addresses.
If you have any question or comments, please email me.
Hey, everybody!
I'm 15 years old and my dad and I both love Diplomacy.
I live in Raleigh,
my dad in Chapel Hill. I've become pretty active in the
hobby and am pretty
good at the game, and we'd like to come there may 2nd.
What I want to know is a little information on the subject.
Is there a fee?
Are variants, such as colonial diplomacy played? What
other games besides
diplomacy are played?
I'm afraid I don't know many more games other than good
ol Dip. But we'll
be there, if you'll have us.
Heath
Aloha, all. This is Matt Turner from Rock Hell -
er, Hill, South Carolina.
My old friend Paul Weigand tuned me into CGS, and
I think it's way cool.
I am one of the founding members of the local chapter
of The Camarilla(tm)
LARP group. The chapter name is Libertas Aeterna.
For those who are
familiar with Vampire: The Masquerade, this is the live
version of that
tabletop RPG. Charlotte has an Anarch chapter.
Our membership rolls are
low, and more members are welcome. You can check
out our website at:
http://www.shack.org/zzharrist/Camarilla/LA.html
Check out the site for much information on who we are
and what we do.
Also, our gaming times are posted under the link "Chapter
Events". We'll
be meeting in Marshall Park (hopefully that weather permits)
around 7pm.
Contact info is on the webpage.
Myself, I enjoy GURPS, Chill, Call of Cthulhu, TNMT &
Other Strageness,
Champions, Rifts and others. I have yet to play
a great majority of games,
so it'll prolly be an eye-opener to see what all you
guys are up to.
My email is:
mturner@cetlink.net
My phone # is:
XXXXXXXXXX, but I'm never home before 6:15pm (after work).
Looking forward to seeing you all,
MATT
Well, we have been working on the CGS website in the last
day or two. It
isn't much, but it is laid out a bit differently.
Most importantly,
though, the beginning of a small player and game/campaign
database now
appears. It is still not automated, however.
Checkout the site, if you haven't yet today....let us
know what you think.
../cgs/
(if you have checked it out very recently but it looks
the same as it did,
reload the page)
My requests for information have gone largely ignored,
however. I will not
put information on the page unless I have reason to believe
that the
individual for whom I am representing information has
no problem with
having been so represented. I was, however, hoping
there would be more of
an information exchange. One of the reasons we
began CGS was to help us
find more players and games for all kinds of games, and
help us grow some
associations for FTF games in the area.
With this in mind, I am re-soliciting for information.
Please checkout:
../cgs/gameinfo.html
to get a picture of who and what is already listed out
there. For
instructions on what kind of information I am desiring,
see:
../cgs/gameinfo.html#YourInfo
Thanks everyone! Let us know what how the site is
coming along for you.
I was passed along some information about a debate raging
between the
people who run GenCon and several companies who have
apparently decided to
boycott GenCon for various reasons. I didn't know
who would be interested
and who wouldn't, but I posted some of it on the CGS
web site:
../cgs/gencon.html
As a gamer who has gone to two GenCon's, I found the whole
thing kind of
interesting. Just wanted to give everyone a chance
to see some of it.
There are several companies not attending, one of which
is Steve Jackson
Games, Inc.
Speaking of Con's, I believe there is a Con coming up
soon in Columbia, SC.
RoundCon or something. There is info
on the Camarilla site that Matt
mentioned.
Are people intersted in local Con info? Just a poll...curious,
etc. Those
of you who follow the Con schedules, what on-line resources
do you
currently use to find out the info? Just wanted
us to share a little.
Best wishes and happy gaming.
Hello everyone -
I have undetermined business travel plans at this time
where
I won't be able to commit to using my place. Sorry
for the late
notice, but I just returned from a trip.
Steve C.
ps. chilcs@ncmi.com is no longer valid alternative
address for me.
We can use my place. I have an apartment off of
Providence Road. I'll
send Harry directions if everyone is agreeable.

Unfortunately, I cannot make it down for this coming CGS
meeting. Probably
I will not make any of the summer meetings (except, perhaps
August). But
after that, I am a regular.
I am looking forward to returning to Charlotte.
Best wishes on the gaming.

Sorry, I did not mention that it appears that MAY 2nd
is the date for
the next CGS meeting. Matt Turner is also coming,
and I thin Dave Hood
too. Paul can't make it.
Please sound off and let me know if you are coming!
Steve
I plan on coming as well.
Jenn
UNCC has a group that looks to be quite active in terms
of gaming. It
looks like mostly RPG and LARP stuff, but there is a
lot there. I am told
by Ron McClung (a contact of the group) that a lot of
activity posted on
their site now will alter soon because of the end of
spring semester,
however--so, if you are interested, watch for that.
In any case, it is open to non-UNCC students.
The site is:
http://users.vnet.net/seawolf/guild/
I know they currently have a Vampire LARP, as well as
a vamp. RPG. Two
different campaigns of AD&D. There is also
GURPS, Shadowrun, Star Wars,
Arcanum, etc.
Ron also mentioned that he now knows of 4 gaming groups
in the area. I had
inquired about this, so we can hopefully reach some new
people. Ron also
mentioned a future project together...some sort of event
that we all come
in together to do.
I like the idea, but I am predisposed (naturally) to put
it off until, at
the very least, mid Fall of 98.
I have some preliminary ideas, though. Here in Philly,
a local gaming
store has a quarterly "Game-A-Thon". It isn't a
Con, as such...just a
2-day get together where events for various games are
organized, people
sign up for the events...and each event is run by a volunteer,
etc. Very,
very informal, of course. Anyway, the UNCC group
seems to have access to
some facilities...so this makes things more plausible
(although RPGOutpost,
here, does it 4 times a year and their store is pretty
small). I thought
this might be nice to help us all get to know one another.
Perhaps we can start corresponding and try to get representatives
from each
group...maybe Matt could start inquiring with his group
(Libertas Aeterna),
and see if they are interested. I guess this email
constitutes an inquiry
on my part to see who is interested from CGS. I
assume, since Ron
suggested it, that the UNCC Guild would be interested
in it...then when we
find out about the other groups in the area...and maybe
the Rock Hill War
Gamers Group, etc. I think we could probably, given
enough time, put
together something reasonably interesting and a lot of
fun.
So what are people's thoughts?
BTW: I am going on vacation, leaving tommorrow (Sun.,
4/19) for 7 days. I
will check my mail tommorrow before I leave, but I will
not respond after
that time until next week. I hope all goes well
with the preparations for
the next meeting.
-- [ From: Koehler, Stephen * EMC.Ver #2.5.3 ] --
The following have said they would come:
Me, Steve Koehler
Jennifer Romanski (HOST)
David Romanski
Heath Gardner
Heath's Dad
Dave Hood
Matt Turner
Possibles:
Harry Culpan?
Ron McClung?
Tom Kobrin?
I have corresponded with Ron and he has turned out to
be a great asset in
terms of local gaming information. He told me about
two groups: The
Central Peidmont Gaming Guild (RPG's: AD&D,
etc.) and G.A.M.E.R, a
Gastonia gaming group (all kinds of games...RPG's, CCG's,
board games, etc.).
Their web sites (respectively):
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Dungeon/1209/
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Labyrinth/2557/index.html
This is on the CGS web site, as well.
I have sent email to them, telling them about CGS.
Take it easy, all.
BTW: Since the list has grown a little bit, I thought
I would take this
opportunity to re-plug CharNomic. For those of
you who are
unfamiliar...this is an email game in which changing
the rules IS the game.
There is an initial set governing how points can
be mode, how the game is
won, how rules can be added, removed, and/or modified,
etc. CGS is
sponsoring such a game, which is open for new players,
anytime. We have 6
active players, 3 inactive players, and 1 lurker.
For more info, checkout: ../nomic/
I am sorry, but I will not be attending the May 2nd meeting.
Hope you guys
have fun!
If my dad and I are to come, we need directions. Help us out..
Looks like dad may be too cheap to spring for a room,
which means spending
a night driving home :)
Heath
p.s. I'm bringing Standard Diplomacy. Any other requests?
I'm up for that
or Colonial, or Machiavelli.
I will attempt to show, but I do need directions
(The directions link
on the web sire does not work). If y'all
want we can make plans to go to
Knite Starr Con, which is a Con in Charlotte going
on that weekend. If you want
to know more, I can fill you in. Otherwise,
I'll bring some games we can
break out and play.
Ron
Jennifer, can you please send us directions to your home?
What time do
you want us to arrive?
steve
The lack of directions is actually my fault. Jenn
sent them to me, but
I forgot to update the web page with them. I will
endeavor to do so
tonight, so you should be able to get directions by tomorrow.
Sorry about the delay.

I sent directions to Harry and Paul to post, but they're
not available
yet. I have them at home, so I'll send them to
the list tonight.
As normal, arrive anytime after 4:00.

I have (finally) updated the CGS page to list the directions
to Jennifer's
apartment. Also, I will include them here:
>From South 77 (South Carolina)
Take 77 North to Exit 1- 485/Westinghouse. Take
the Exit for 485 East.
Travel to Exit 57 - Providence Road and turn left at
the top of the ramp.
Travel through several lights and through the light
for Rea/Alexander
road. My apartment complex is called Heatherwood
and it is on the left
just before the next road (International Drive).
Follow the road into
the apartment complex past the Information Center and
then turn left. My
apartment complex will be on the right 5937 apartment
18 (Providence
Road).
>From North 77 (north of Charlotte)
Take 77 South to the Fourth & Trade street exit.
Follow the road as to
Trade street (Fourth street turns into a one way street,
so you won't
want to go that way). Turn right onto Church street.
Go to the second
light and turn left onto Third street. Follow Third
street out of
downtown Charlotte. It will then turn into Providence
Road. Stay in the
left lane. At the light after the Manor Theatre (Queens
and Providence)
make a left onto a road that is also Providence (if you
continue straight
you will be on Queens). Follow Providence through
6 lights (I think -
Coleville, Wendover, Sharon, Farview, one near the temple,
and Old
Providence Road). At the sixth light you will have
to be in the left
lane or you will be forced to turn onto Old Providence
Road. Follow
Providence through one more light at International Drive.
The very next
left will lead you into Heatherwood Apartments.
Follow the road into the
apartment complex past the Information Center and then
turn left. My
apartment complex will be on the right 5937 apartment
18 (Providence
Road).

Just a note: When travelling from 77 south to Trade
street you will need
to take the East Trade street exit (there also may be
an East Third
street, but I can't remember).
Also, if any of you other CGS members know a better way
for those
travelling from out of town, please share those directions
with them.
Thanks,
Jenn
One of the members of CPGG pointed out a good on-line
resource for RPG'ers.
It is called WebRPG ( http://www.webrpg.com ).
This resource has several
things which are interesting...including (and most notably)
an on-line
player/GM database.
I encourage all the gamers in the group to check it out
if you are not
already familiar with it. Also, I encourage those
interested to register
themselves in their DB.
You can create a new registration entry at:
http://www.webrpg.com/jquery/jquery.cgi?query=myreg
You can search for players/GM at:
http://www.webrpg.com/jquery/jquery.cgi?query=regsearch
>From what I have read on the site, they indicate that
they will not sell or
give email addresses away, btw.
I did a quick search for gamers in the Charlotte area,
and there are
several listed...including a couple on the CGS mail list.
Do check it out.
Thanks,
